    Trail Dames Second Annual Backpacking Trip!!
    Details will follow so keep an eye on the website!  For
    an idea of what   backpacking with the Dames is like,
    click here.  No experience is
    necessary and we have lots of gear to loan out if you
    have none.

    November 23, 2008-  Elachee Nature Center
    East and West Lake trails- 4.4 mile loop
    ATTENTION!!!  This outing has been changed from
    the originally scheduled hike due to trail closure.....
    We will meet at Huthmaker Violins at  8:30 am to
    carpool.  Those wishing to meet us at the trail, we
    expect to be there at 9:30.  We will meet at the trail
    overflow parking lot. Afterwards, we will head back
    into town for lunch.  
    Dogs welcome on leash-you are required to clean up
    after your dog.

                      To benefit the Traildames

    from 1-6 at the SASH House, (Discover Mills)

    The Second Annual Trail Dames Hike Inn Trip!!!
    This will be the highlight of the year, trust me!!!  Dames
    wanting to take part in this fantastic weekend need to
    make their own
    reservations here.  Details will follow, but in the
    meantime, get your
    reservation in because it will fill up fast!!
               
    NOTE: This event is sold out.  If you would like to

    January 11, 2009- Picketts Mill Trail
    3.3 mile loop (red and blue trails)
    Note- This hike is scheduled for the afternoon due
    to park hours
    We will meet at Huthmakers at 1:00 to carpool and
    meet at the park at 2:30.  After the hike, we will go
    out for dinner.

    January 17-19, 2009- The Southern Ruck
    Wanna hang out with a bung of backpackers for three
    days?  Wanna hike, watch presentations on how to
    hike and see neat slide shows of gorgeous places?  
    This is not an official Dames event, but since Anna is
    speaking at this years SoRuck, we decided to tell
    everyone else about it.  If you are interested in joining
    us, email Anna.

    April 4-5, 2009- Annual Trail Dames Trail Magic at
    Neels Gap!!  
           We will serve food to hungry thru hikers for two
    days on the deck of Mountain Crossings.  Join us as
    we meet neat folks all day long and then retreat to a
    cabin in the woods to hang with the Dames.  Be there
    or be very, very square!! More details to come....

    April 19, 2009- Trail Dames is officially two years
    old!!!!  
           Come celebrate this fabulous birthday with the
    Dames as we climb Springer Mountain, the Southern
    terminus of the AT.  Afterwards, we will descend upon
    the Crescent Moon in Dalonaghea for our traditional
    celebratory lunch.  More details to follow....
